Hikmicro Thermal Scope Series

Key Features of Hikmicro Thermal Scopes

Hikmicro Thermal Scopes FAQs

HIKMICRO NEOS

+
The NEOS range is HIKMICRO's lightweight, standalone thermal rifle scope line. No day scope needed; just mount it and hunt from dusk to dawn. It comes in three models: the NE25 is the featherweight entry point at 540g, the NH25L steps up with a built-in rangefinder, and the flagship NH35L pushes detection out to 1800m with a sharper 384×288 sensor and ballistic calculator.

For Aussie conditions, the NE25 suits foxes and rabbits on the home block, where you don't need huge range. Step up to the NH35L if you're covering bigger paddocks or chasing pigs at distance; the built-in laser rangefinder takes the guesswork out of longer shots.

Price Range: $1,999 - $2,999

HIKMICRO Stellar

+
Stellar is HIKMICRO's premium thermal riflescope line, running from the SH35L and SQ35L up to the flagship SX60LS with its 1280×1024 sensor, 50 Hz refresh, and sub-15 mK sensitivity. The "L" models add a 1000m laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator, and the whole range is IP67-rated to handle dust, rain, and rough Aussie terrain without missing zero.

This is the pick for serious hunters and professional pest controllers running foxes, pigs, and deer across big country. The SX60LS in particular holds up in fog, heat-soaked ground, and low-contrast conditions where cheaper thermals start to struggle; worth the spend if you're out most nights.

Price Range: $3,499 - $10,000

HIKMICRO Thunder

+
Thunder is HIKMICRO's clip-on thermal series. It mounts in front of your existing day scope and turns it into a thermal setup instantly. The TQ models run a 640×512 sensor with sub-15 mK sensitivity, detection out to 2600m on the 50mm lens, and IP67 protection, while an optional Thunder Eyepiece lets you pull it off the rifle and use it handheld as a monocular.

That dual-use flexibility makes Thunder a smart option if you've already got a day scope you like and don't want to buy a second dedicated air rifle. It's a solid all-rounder for fox and pig work across mixed scrub and open paddock.

Price Range: $1,499 - $5,999

HIKMICRO Panther

+
Panther is built around versatility, with a wide magnification range (roughly 3x–24x across the range) that lets you shoot close without sacrificing field of view, then zoom in as needed. The PH-series uses a smaller lens for lighter carry, while the PQ-series steps up to a 640×512 sensor for sharper detail, with a laser rangefinder standard across the lineup.

That range makes the PH35L a strong pick for fast fox and rabbit work at closer range, while the PQ50L handles mid-range pig and deer shooting where you need reach and clarity at higher magnification.

Price Range: $4,299 - $6,299

What are the Detection Ranges of Hikmicro Thermal Scopes?

+
Detection range comes down mostly to lens size; the bigger the lens, the further out a scope can pick up a heat signature. As a rough guide:
  • 25mm lens: Detection up to ~1,200m
  • 35mm lens: Detection up to ~1,800m
  • 50mm lens: Detection up to ~2,600m
  • 60mm lens: Detection up to ~3,100m
Take the HIKMICRO Thunder TQ35C, a 35mm clip-on with detection out to 1,800m. Plenty of reach for fox and pig work across paddocks and timber lines, where you're rarely shooting past a few hundred metres anyway. At the top end, the HIKMICRO Stellar SX60L 3.0 runs a 60mm lens with detection out to 3,100m, built for hunters glassing wide-open country or long valleys where game shows up as a dot on the horizon well before it's in range.

Bigger lens, longer detection — but also more size, weight, and cost. For most Australian hunting on standard-sized properties, a 35mm or 50mm setup covers you fine. Go 60mm only if you're regularly scanning genuinely long, open ground where that extra reach actually gets used.

Which Hikmicro Thermal Scope Fits Your Hunt?

+
If You're Hunting... Go With Why It Works Price
Foxes or feral pests past ~150m Stellar SQ50L The 50mm lens gives you the reach, while the 640 sensor maintains a wide field of view so you don't lose the target. The built-in rangefinder is especially useful when shooting at longer distances. $5,849.00
Closer pest work under ~150m NEOS NH35L A 35mm-class lens is plenty for this range. A rangefinder is a useful extra, but it isn't essential. $2,999.00
Maximum detail on long, open country Stellar SX60LS The 60mm lens and 1280 sensor provide serious detail at distance. Choose this when you know you need the extra range rather than simply buying the highest specification. $9,269.00
Keeping your existing day scope Thunder TQ50CL As a clip-on, it adds thermal capability to the scope you already trust instead of replacing it. The lens size still determines how far you can detect targets. $5,499.00
Note: Use a handheld thermal spotter, thermal monocular or thermal binocular, to identify game before shouldering an air rifle. Never scan for animals through a scoped rifle—this is a basic firearm safety practice.

Is Good Hunt an Authorised HIKMICRO Dealer?

+
Yes. Good Hunt is Australia’s authorized dealer of HIKMICRO products. We sell genuine Australian HIKMICRO stock with full manufacturer warranty.

Are HikMicro Thermals Any Good?

+
Yes. HIKMICRO has built a strong reputation among Aussie hunters and pest controllers for good reason. Their thermal scopes deliver sharp thermal imaging, reliable detection ranges, and rugged, IP67-rated builds that hold up to dust, rain, and rough paddock conditions night after night. With high-sensitivity sensors and low NETD ratings across the range, they're built to pick up foxes, pigs, and rabbits clearly in total darkness, fog, or low-contrast conditions where cheaper thermals fall short.

Combined with a broad lineup spanning entry-level to premium, HIKMICRO offers genuine value without compromising on the performance serious night hunters actually need.

Which HikMicro Thermal Scope is the Best?

+
The best depends on your hunt. For open-country fox and feral work past 150m, the Stellar SQ50L is the go-to 50mm Laser Rangefinder scope. Closer country? The SH35L or NEOS NH35L covers you well.

Where are Hikmicro Thermal Scopes Made?

+
Hikmicro thermals are designed, developed, and built in Hangzhou, China, where a large, advanced in‑house manufacturing facility is located.

Are Hikmicro Thermals Waterproof?

+
Yes. Most of the HIKMICRO thermal scopes series carry an IP67 rating, meaning they're dust-tight and can handle submersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes. That covers rain, mud, and wet paddocks without worry.

How to Update Hikmicro Firmware?

+
Head to HIKMICRO's Download Center, grab the firmware package for your exact model, then follow the update steps via the HIKMICRO Sight app or USB transfer, depending on your device.

What is the Warranty on a Hikmicro Scope and Other Optics?

+
Every HIKMICRO thermal, night vision, and multispectrum product comes with a manufacturer warranty. Buy through Good Hunt and you get full local warranty support too — no dealing with overseas returns if something goes wrong.

How to Connect Hikmicro to My Phone?

+
Download the HIKMICRO Sight app, then switch on your device's Wi-Fi hotspot in its settings. Connect to that network from your phone's Wi-Fi list, open the app, and pair the unit to start viewing and controlling it live.

How to Zero Hikmicro Alpex 4k?

+
Mount the Alpex 4K securely and check it's focused and aligned on the rifle. Bore sight at close range, around 25–50m, to get on paper, then move out to your preferred zero distance, usually 50m or 100m for most hunting setups.

From a steady rest, fire a controlled 2–3 shot group, then freeze the image in the device's zeroing menu. Use the adjustment controls to walk the reticle onto the centre of your shot group, save the zero, then fire a confirmation group to check its holding. If you run more than one calibre or rifle, the Alpex 4K lets you store multiple zero profiles, so you're not re-zeroing every time you switch setups.
